SSCS 2017 part 1

Hi everyone, I do hope your Christmas was a wonderful time with family and friends. We had a wonderful Christmas dinner with our family, which for us was missing one important member this year my dad. This was our first Christmas without him and it was really hard on all of us, but we made it through sharing memories and stories of past Christmases. Then on Monday night I was hit by a nasty virus that has kept me in bed until today and my son came home from work on Wednesday night with the same thing. Not fun at all. Today I have been able to keep down a bit of yogurt and pedia lite for kids. That's it. Better days ahead. Now on to the good part of this post. This is my swap parcel from my partner for the SSCS 2017. We make one ornament and a gift for our partner then send it out and wait patiently for Christmas to arrive....

I love both sides of my ornament!
The pics of this table runner do not do it justice. It is so gorgeous!

Look at my beautiful ornament and table runner that Maria made for me! Absolutely stunning is all I can say about both. I joined SSCS 2017 this year. I have participated in all but one of these and I always enjoy swapping and making a new friend. One of my favorite swaps. I will post tomorrow what I sent out to my partner. Thank you Chooky for another great swap.

Happy New Year Wendy. My parents have been gone for a long time now, but the holidays always bring warm memories of them and a sadness too.
xx, Carol
